The Week in Review

The Week in Review

The past week was one of highs and lows. On the low side, several of the CFCV regulars are missing. Stacy is presumably fighting the dragon in Cali., Claudia is on the right coast for two weeks and Brad is stoved up from having too much summer fun. April lost a couple of days to knee pain and Barb has been busy at work. I also was really not myself being under the weather with my own issues.

On the bright side, Caleb is back after his vaca., Seth is back after some needed recovery, and Jared rocked the CFT. I also forgot to recognize Jared for his first kipping pullups. I witnessed three on the first occasion and five (more or less) on the second. Jared as well as all of CFCV’s CrossFitters have come a long way and it this improvement that keeps us rolling.

For the most part, CFCV is now up and running in the new box. There will always be additions in equipment and amenities but most of the upcoming improvements will be in the area of improving service. We plan on having some workouts in the park this summer as well as the addition of classes as they are needed.

Next week will be a little sketchy as I am attending CrossFit level 2 cert on Sat and Sunday. Shalene will take over the helm on Monday and Tuesday while I am on duty but I leave Thursday for the cert. Due to coverage issues CFCV will be dark on Thurs and Friday.

Thanks! It’s good to know I was missed. It wasn’t easy coming back from a 10 day vacation. It makes me appreciate how important it is to keep up a regular work out schedule. I’m glad to be back!

Thanks for missing me but you have no idea…. I went this morning to CF Central CT, it was very a different atmosphere from our group! Let’s just say, I cannot wait to get back to CF Carson Valley, details to follow. On the upside, I got a great workout, something CF nevers fails to deliver. I’m on my way to Cape Cod for the next couple of days, talk to you all soon!

Can’t tell you how nervous I was at the prospect of your experiences being so much better that you would regret returning. I am glad for whatever reason you’re still enthused with us. Have a great journey.

Shalene, thanks for the video. I am going to be doing muscle ups in my dreams tonight. He made it look pretty easy using the kipping motion. Seeing someone else do one makes it look sooo possible. I can’t wait to try again.
