Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving 2012

Been reflecting on what to be thankful for and there is so much I'll have to break it down between family, career and of course the CFCV community. Since CFCV is the focus here I'll save the rest for another forum.

When I began this journey it was not with the intention of building a business or how it has evolved, a community. I had selfish intentions of changing my health through a new avenue called CrossFit and pursued it with vigor. What I found as I began learning is that it's not just about "working out" but truly a way of life. Along the way, I have met some of the most influential and knowledgeable people in my life and for that I am forever thankful.

However, this past year has been exceptionally humbling. We have grown as a business steadily for the past 6 years but truly our community has expanded more in the last 10 months than I ever imagined. Not only do we have the opportunity to reach more people through the addition of the bootcamp program, our coaching staff is on track to triple within the next month. And then there is the upcoming rebirth of our CrossFit Kids program. The future indeed looks bright.

What I am especially thankful for is the opportunity to be a part of our community member's lives. Honestly what keeps me motivated is seeing the improvements in people's lives and especially the comments I hear from people from time to time. I would list everyones improvements but they are vast and I risk leaving someone out so I'm not going to go there, just know that it is our community, all of it, that keeps me engaged.

Most of all I want thank all of you for your trust, support and dedication to our practice. And of course our awesome coaches that work very, very hard to provide our community with safe, fun and effective caoching each and every day!
