Oly Cert Day One

Oly Cert Day One

The cert went well today. Being coached by some of the best in the business is a great experience. We also are getting the opportunity to coach each other in small groups and pairs. I have also had the opportunity to meet and train with most of the trainers and box owners from our area. The CrossFit movement has certainly gained some steam from back in the day when Progression and CFCV were the only games in the area.

So what does the Oly cert mean for the CFCV members? I've said many times in the past that learning from videos, Journal articles and books is a very limiting deal. Never before has that become more apparent than this weekend. Just an example, you think you jnow the Burgener warmup? I thought I did too until today. Next week if you're a member of CFCV you'll discover the errors in our previous ways. Good Shit! Stephan, Cody Burgener, Josh Everett and Dutch are the real deal.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone that have made donations of either equipment or monetary donations via the golf event. Thank you, you're what this venture is all about.

I guess I will try to relax my sore body and prepare for another excellent adventure tomorrow.

Great Ron! Good job! I’m glad to hear that you had a good time at the oly cert. Can’t wait for Tuesday…well maybe I can. I went jogging 8.5 miles Saturday morning and now my knees and calves are killing me!! I’ve never jogged more than 5 miles before. This is what happens when there is NO xfit on Saturday’s people may do stupid things to themselves.Haha! Jk, the pain isn’t too bad in fact it felt kinda good to be up and jogging before the sun came up. I might just stick to 3-5 miles this week though.

Also the reason I think my calves are killing me is because of all the lunges the other day! Was that Friday(?), all I know is OOOOUUUCH!!
