Today’s sessions were a display of athletes of different levels pushing themselves beyond limits they knew existed. It all began with Carrie and I putting in 9 rounds of the workout pictured below. Jared came around for his first workout and became acquainted with the CrossFit warmup and some 2 handed kettlebell swings. And then the foursome of Caleb, Seth, Claudia and Shalene along with grandson Ethan took their shot. The workout was:
Although it looks pretty harmless, this workout delivers a wallop and makes one apply mental toughness that they may or may not have pushed through previously. The notation of +snatches means that the individual made it through the burpees and snatches of the next round but did not complete the whole round in the time allotted. Bottom line is all involved in this workout pushed themselves to new levels I have not seen in the past, nor do I believe they have experienced. Maybe I’m making more of what it really was??
