Back at the Training

Today the UBC gals got after the Providence kettlebell workout. Adrienne was unable due to dental work but hung out to watch and take notes. The gals did good and Shalene hung out to finish it off with the 3 minute snatch test. We are now to the last workout of the program on Thursday which will be the infamous CrossFit workout "Fight Gone Bad". Not sure what the future will bring between Northwest Martial Arts’ UBC program and CrossFit Carson Valley, but I would like to see another round of classes at least.

Following the above, Caleb and grandson Ethan squared off on the "Cindy" workout. This is the first time for both and the workout consists of as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes of 5 pullups, 10 pushups and 15 squats. Both used the skinny band for the pullups and used TKD targets for pushup depth and medicine balls to keep them honest on the squat depth. Caleb finished 9 rounds + pullups and Ethan was about 5 squats away from finishing his 17th round. It must be noted that although Ethan almost did twice the rounds as Caleb, he is 24 years his junior. Still at 11 years old he rocks and Caleb continues to show his perseverance.
