At the Home Ranch

After spending some days at the “Ranch” for the level 2 cert., it was great to get home to CFCV. We have a great bunch of folks who work their butts off and we appreciate each and every one. So last week it was Seth who scored the muscle up and today we had another. Denny pulled it off in great form. Now its Caleb’s turn and its gonna be a race between he and I and who gets it done by the end of the week.

Some new directions for our club were announced and inititated today, some inspired by the cert. but most by growing pains of the move from the garage to the box. I think the changes are over due and will enhance the experience for all. Thoughts????

The WOD at CFCV for today was Cindy ish. AMRAP 20 of 5 pullups, 10 box jumps and 15 kb snatches or high pulls. All pushed themselves and rounds ranged from 5 to 10. Cool thing was I saw no slackers and lots of sweating.

Despite my shortcomings at the level 2, yall have been understanding and I appreciate all the support. Have a great and safe trip to Idaho Janeen and Jared and I’m sure you’ll represent all of us well.

Ron, were glad you’re back and we’re sorry that you didn’t get the cert. I think focusing on our squats and moving through the warmup together as a team as it were are both great ideas. Also, working on the active shoulders and our posture will really help with many of the other exercises. So far I agree with the changes and the direction you’re taking us in, and I am glad to see a revived crossfit spirit and fire from you, I hope it’s contagious.

I am excited for the renewed enthusiasm and look forward to making increases in many areas. I am also very excited to join the training team, we have the best bunch of Cross Fitters out there!! I think it is high time we start planning a BBQ for all before summer is done!
