Shalene, Claudia and Adrienne were over this morning to experience another important aspect of CrossFit-maximum effort workouts. Up until this session all previous workouts were of the metcon variety. Today the ladies learned the back squat, push press and deadlift movements. Although I realize it takes a long period of time to learn these moves correctly I felt it important to put some numbers on the board as a baseline. They each have a long way to go in the areas of form and technique, but I think they came away from this workout with an appreciation of the fun and hard work involved in performing the moves. After the girls left and a short lunch break, Caleb and I did the AOS Providence kettlebell workout. Its been a while for me and was the first time for Caleb. For those of you who don’t know the workout and are curious:
The great thing about the workout is its fun and provides a functional blast like no other.
