Shalene and I took our turn at the scaled Kelly workout that all level II’s performed yesterday. Our times were a 20:35 for Shalene and 18:28 for me. I had planned on doing the full 5 rounds but settled for 3 in the end.
The noon crew of Claudia, Mike R., Mike H., April and Sarah mixed the deadlift efforts of 15, 12 and 9 reps for everyone but Claudia who was slated for 5 rep max’s X 5. Unfortunately Claudia experienced some back pain and had to stop at the third round.
At 5:00 Caleb and Seth took their shot at the 5X5 deadlifts. They both significantly increased their 5 rep max weights by 40 and 45 lbs respectively. Increases like this are notable especially since deadlifts have not been worked with any amount of regularity.
