  • I was born and raised in Gardnerville. I have never ventured too far from home other than for some epic vacations. I graduated from UNR with a Bachelor’s and Master’s in political science and turned my passion for government to the classroom. I became a teacher and I am now the principal of Silver State Charter Schools. I have always enjoyed a challenge. Being healthy has always been a part of my life. Optimum performance began to matter when I started racing jet skis at the spry age of 12. As I progressed in the sport, it was quickly apparent that without fitness, I a competitive drive would not be enough. Fitness, blended with a competitive spirit, allowed me to win three national titles, set a world record and win a world championship. I tore every ligament in my left foot at the World Finals in 2011. I now have five screws in my foot. CrossFit helped me heal quickly and return to high degree of movement and function. My days of competitive racing have passed as the realities of adulthood have taken hold. I found CrossFit with a fellow coach, Mark Lilly, about 5 years ago. It began with the causal, “hey I heard about this new CrossFit thing, it sounds challenging. Want to try one of these workouts?” I have been hooked ever since. Nothing beats the community that one gets at CrossFit Carson Valley. I do my best to bring my passion for education into the box every time I coach. Growth is all about learning new ways to improve. I hope that CrossFit at our gym will be the motivator that will lead you to your own improved fitness!!
  • Hi my name is Minneah “Punky” Holdridge. I joined CrossFit because of 2 friends who talked me into it, but later became the best decision of my life. I’ve always been an athletic person and enjoyed working out. I lacked the motivation part at the gym because I was self conscious so it was hard to get a good workout in. When I joined CrossFit I fell in love because it pushed me to levels I didn’t know I had and brought out a fire in me I’ve never had to use. The family part of it is so great because we’re all in it together having the same goal and doing the same workout and so supportive of each other. CrossFit has helped me exceed in my career choice as a firefighter and help keep me in shape for that. I decided to become a trainer because of the result of the first health challenge I completed at CFCV. I was so happy with my results because that’s when my fire really took off. It was the first time in awhile that I was happy at what I saw in the mirror. It had made me such a happier person that I realized I wanted to help people achieve that same feeling I had because everyone deserves to love themselves.
  • Hello Carson Valley! My name is Nadine Chrzanowski. I have lived in and worked for Douglas County for approximately 14 years. I am married with one amazing little girl. If you would believe it, I joined Crossfit on a dare: The owner dared me to try it for one month and, if I didn’t like it, promised me he would never ask me to come again. Since he had been asking repeatedly for months, I took that dare and years later, well…I’m still here! Crossfit changed my life and the way I measure fitness, both in myself and in others.Prior to Crossfit, I was strictly an endurance athlete. Now, I believe in a more rounded approach to fitness and am a firm believer that a person’s fitness level is reflected in and measured by how well they can effectively function in day to day life, in all circumstances, and not just by a number on a scale. I currently hold my Crossfit Level 1 trainer certificate, my Crossfit Mobility Trainer Certificate, and my Crossfit Striking Trainer Certificate. I am honored to coach at Crossfit Carson Valley and look forward to meeting you soon!
